Jeanette — In her own words…

“I started my journey with Workforce when I went to orientation. I had very little information about their assistance, but an RN I worked with recommended them. I took the TABE test, and scored low in the math section. I was directed to Project Read at the library. I loved the ladies at project read, they helped me excel,” Jeanette explains.

“My assessment and career planning were done with Sherrie Manney. I have never met a more encouraging lady in my life. I was scared to start full time school with 5 children, and trying to work full time. Workforce paid a large portion of my tuition, and uniforms. Sherrie always checked on me, and gave me great resources. I was blessed to get transportation, and childcare help from Workforce also. I never worried about my kids, or having gas in my car. It was a huge relief in an already stressful time,” Jeanette adds.

“I don’t know if I would have had the courage to start school again without the support of workforce. I was relieved and very excited. I enjoyed the monthly ‘check-ins’ with Sherrie. I felt like she truly cared about my success,” Jeanette reports.

“I was so worried about testing, and licensing fees toward the end of school. Sherrie assured me I had nothing to worry about, Workforce paid for that also. I passed my NCLEX, and received my state license. I started my job immediately as an LPN. Sherrie stayed in close contact, and even offered to help me with new uniforms. I have had the most amazing journey with Workforce. I would definitely recommend that anyone let them assist in reaching their dreams too,” Jeanette says.
