Our humble story began in 1998, when Dennis and Stacey Cooper decided to start building warming cabinets, one at a time, in their garage. Their vision and perseverance paved the way to success as demand steadily grew for the quality healthcare solutions they provided.
In 2020 Mac Medical set out to partner with local high schools and workforce services to provide quality talent to its workforce. With the help of the United States Department of Labor, the company wrote an apprentice program for TIG Welding. In doing this and partnering with St Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Dept. a solid apprenticeship program with high school students was developed. As we enter our third year of apprentices, we are still reliant upon our workforce partners. We now have a dedicated welding apprentice program, dependent on youth, that is beginning to stabilize our once-aging workforce.
Today MAC Medical has over 150 full-time employees operating in a 122,500 square foot manufacturing plant in Millstadt, Illinois. In 2019, MAC Medical expanded its manufacturing plant and celebrated 20 years in business. In 2021, a new corporate office was established in Columbia, Illinois to house the growing engineering, customer service, accounting, sales, and marketing departments. And recently, Mac Medical increased their warehouse space by opening a new location in Sauget, IL. With all three facilities in Southern Illinois, MAC Medical is ideally located for centralized distribution to the entire United States. Not limited to the U.S.A., the company has product in over 20 countries worldwide.
